Missionaries of the Poor – Little Lambs Center

Supporting Children with Special Needs

In 2024, the UpSource team visited the Little Lambs Center, a residential facility dedicated to caring for children with multiple disabilities — including those who are orphaned, abandoned, or living with complex medical needs.

Our team donated essential supplies and spent time with the children, bringing moments of joy and connection to residents and caregivers.

ABOUT LITTLE LAMBS CENTER
Founded in 2006, this is the only facility in Cebu dedicated to young children living with multiple disabilities. Operated by the Missionaries of the Poor, the center provides medical care, shelter, emotional support, spiritual guidance, and developmental activities — ensuring every child is treated with dignity, compassion, and love.

Caring for the Elderly and Abandoned

In 2025, the UpSource team extended its outreach to Gasa sa Gugma — a charitable home providing care for elderly individuals who have been abandoned, left without family support, or are facing serious illness.

21 UpSource volunteers spent time with 54 residents, shared meals, and delivered essential donations to support the facility's daily operations and ongoing care.

ABOUT GASA SA GUGMA
Gasa sa Gugma means "Gift of Love." Operated by the Missionaries of Charity — founded by Mother Teresa of Calcutta — the home cares for elderly individuals experiencing abandonment, illness, disability, or extreme poverty. Many residents are wheelchair-bound or bedridden, relying entirely on donations and volunteer support. Yet in simple moments of companionship, they find genuine comfort and joy.
